WEEK 1
Pregnancy is tracked from first day of your last period
Uterus is thickened in order to hold fertilized egg

WEEK 2
Ovulation occurs
If sperm makes its way to the egg, fertilization will occur
Some spotting may occur

Sperm and egg have created zygote
Zygote continues dividing throughout
These cells will create organs of baby

WEEK 4
Embryo is attached to the wall of the uterus
Amniotic sac begins to form
Baby may be seen on ultrasound

Pregnancy symptoms usually occur

Final week (although some babies don't arrive on schedule)
Mom's must be prepared for baby to arrive at any time

Exercise- Help control weight, relate hormones, and improve sleep
Be Prepared- Do you want an epidural? What kind of birth do you want?
Eat Well- Make every calorie count and don't over eat
Stay Hydrated- Drink plenty of water so you don't get exhausted easily or dehydrated.

Watch the Weight- Excessive weight gain during pregnancy can cause problems later on
Avoid Chemicals- It's important to avoid artificial or unhealthy meals and materials in order to protect your body
Stay Calm- Try to avoid stress as much as possible to not cause distress and to keep you and you baby happy

Pregnancy Top 10's (8-10)
Take your vitamins- It is important to make sure you and your baby are getting the proper nutrients in order to be healthy
Take time for yourself- It is important to take time for yourself to pamper and de-stress
Educate yourself- Learn about childbirth and the pros and cons of your actions
