  • He died at age 37 from a gunshot wound.
  • In just over a decade he made 2,100 works of art.
  • His first famous painting was called The Potato Eaters.
  • When he moved to France he saw the bright sun and started 
  • drawing in brighter colors.

Who was he?

  • Vincent William Van Gogh. 
  • Born on March 30, 1853 in  Zundert Neatherlands.
  • He was a post/impressionist painter of dutch origin who's work,
  • notable for it's rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold color.
  • After painful years, anxiety and mental illness he died at 37 years old.
