AMAZON RIVER

The countries surrounding this gigantic river are; Peru Bolivia, Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Guyana, and Brazil.

The Amazon River starts in the Andes Mountains of Peru and drops off into the Atlantic Ocean.

VEGETATION&CLIMATE

• The climate is humid
• There are many small trees&bushes

• It is approximately 4,000 miles long
• The biggest cIty along the river is Manaus. It has 1.7 million people.
• There are over 3000 known species of fish that live in the River.

ANDES MOUNTAINS

The Andes mountains go through Ecuador, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, and Argentina.

The Andes mountains are located in a range of highlands along the western coast of South America.

On the low land the average temperature is 80°F. The tops of the mountains usually have snow. Some parts of the mountains are tropical with trees, shrubs, ect.

• Most of the mountains are volcanic mountains
• The highest peak of the Andes is Aconcagua.
