COMPOUNDING PEOPLE MAKE COMPOUNDING PROBLEMS

  • Fertility rate is the most important indicator of population
  • The problem is that the fertility level grows exponentially
  • In Japan if a woman has on child that has one child it has one grandchild
  • In Uganda if one has seven who have seven more there're 49 grandchildren

PEOPLE MOVE

  • Emigration is people leaving a country
  • Immigration is people entering a country
  • The most common reason is economic problems
  • Food, job, or economy based
  • People with threatened life or freedom are refugees

CULTURAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Religion- no matter where or how much money
  • Some like Catholics or Mormons encourage big families
  • Government policy- like China
  • The only one child rule effects the birth rates.

WARS AND DISEASE

  • War mostly effects men ages 20-40
  • Africa has to struggle with AIDS
  • It messes up the prediction process

HOW DOES THIS EFFECT US?

  • Will the economies be able to keep up with the growth?
  • How will the world adapt to support more people?
  • We need to come together and support other countries and people.
  • More children means more food, shelter, and education.
