Who was involved
It was the Sioux against the U.S. army.

What happened
The Indians has built up anger against the army and finally started a massacre.

Where it happened
It happened along the Minnesota river in Mankato, Minnesota.

Why it happened
It happened because the Government had been consistently breaking treaties.

When it happened
It happened on August 17- December 26, 1862.
