DESCRIPTION

  • Weight: Female 20-25lbs, Males 30lbs
  • Height: Adults 26-30 inches, Plus 4-7 inch tale
  • Color: Male and Female Brown or gray on top and white on the belly
  • How many youngs: 1-6 kittens

  • Orgin: Canada
  • Where found in the U.S. : Coniferous - Northern Minnesota Forest Blome

HOW THEY LIVE

  • Excellent Hunters
  • Stalking prey with stealth and patient
  • Then capturing there meals with one great leap

EATING HABITS

  • Usually eat small to medium animals
  • Mice, snowshoe hares, squirrels , birds, and white tailed deer fawns

FACTS

  • Life expcetancy: 10-15 years wildlife , 20 years captivity
  • The bobcat is named for its "bob" tail which look as though has been cut
  • Bobcats are nocturnal, so they rarely spotted by humans
  • In some areas, bobcats are still trapes for there soft, spotted fur.
