The origins of Cancer the Crab
Hercules was fighting hydra and the goddess Hera sent a crab in to distract him but, unfortunately Hercules step on the crab and the crab died.Then Hera put the remains of the crab in the sky and the reason it is dim is because the crab was a failure.

How Cancer the crab got its name
Cancer got its name because cancer in Latin means crab.
Some cancer cells look like the constellation cancer .

Facts about cancer
Cancer can be see in the northern hemisphere in the early spring and, southern in the fall.
Cancer is in a area of 506 square degrees
The brightest star is cnc and magnitude of 3.5 it is an orangish color and 290 lightyears away from earth Cnc - means acubens and acubens means claw
The beehive cluster is on of cancers famous Messier and it's called the beehive cluster because of its stars around it look like a be hive.

- I choose this constellation because i thought no one else would pick it
- The reason i choose this is because i thought well this would be a really interesting thing the research
- The last reason i don't know why i thought its name was interesting

Have you ever seen this constellation?
No, I haven't because I've never known when to look and never had a desire to look but, now I will try to look in the early spring time in May.
