PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Cell membrane- Controls what enters and leaves the cell, helps protect and support

Cell Wall- provide support and protection.
Keeps plants standing up right.

Cytoplasm- fluid between the cell membrane and the nucleus . Holds organelles in place.

Ribosome- Produce proteins

Nucleus- Control center of the cell , Contains DNA, and
Directs the cell activities

Nucleolus- where ribosomes are produced

Cytoskeleton- give the cell its shape and help with movement .

lysosome- Filled with enzymes to help break down and digest waste and cleans out cell

Mitochondrion- Changes food energy into ATP which a cell can use . Powerhouse of the cell.

Chloroplast- use the energy from sunlight to make food molecules in a process known as photosynthesis.

Rough ER- transport materials inside the cell
Smooth ER- makes lipids, detoxifies

Golgi Apparatus- Modifies, sorts, and packages material made in the cell

Cell Theory

  • All living things are made up of 1 or more cells.
  • Cells are the basic units of structure & function of all living things.
  • New cells come from exisiting cells.
