Learning and trade contributed to the spread of ideas in the Muslim world in many ways. Through trade products,technology, knowledge and culture was able to be spread. Trade brought paper from China and Arabic numerals were spread to the western world. Along with that the practice of buying on credit started to become more relevant and used. Through learning and trade the Muslim world became more advanced in many areas and continued to spread Muslim ideas.

Pyxis of al-Mughria
This was used for cosmetics originally and now is a beautiful artifact of Islamic art. Islamic features are shown through the use of Arabic inscriptions around the base of the lid. Also shown that Islamic art features such as not strictly aniconic.

Persian Rug
The Persian rug represents Islamic art well. In this rug we see many aspects that allude to its Islamic origin. We see repetitive design and things such as foliage and rosettes. These carpets would be used to pray on providing a clean place to pray drawing in more Islamic culture.

Friday Mosque of Herat
In this we see many Islamic styles in art and architecture. Through architecture we see the minarets on either side of mosque. There are also many repetitive designs in the tilling work. Along with that we see an influence from the Byzantine culture in seeing no human like figures in the mosaics.

Coffee
Coffee was an invention by Islamic culture. This first appeared in the 15th century. It started in Yemen and moved across the world from there. Coffee has a great impact on the world today.

Mercuric Chloride
This was discovered in the medieval Islamic world and had a great impact on medicine practices. It was used as a disinfectant for wounds.

Marching/Military Band
The marching or military band have origins in the ottoman military. This was preformed by the Janissary Today there are still military bands and countless marching bands across the country.

The guitar
The guitar has origins coming from the Arabic instrument "Oud". This instrument is still used today and is essential in many musical performances.

Pakistan is sliding towards extremism. There is a current struggle for people dealing with modernity, women's equality and individual rights. This is creating a serious problem for Pakistan with this Islamic appeal within its society in Pakistan. This is a problem because disruption in a nuclear-armed country is never good.

The Muslim world was able to preserve learning, art, and technology in many ways. Their art forms such as the rugs they make are present across the world and even in our own homes. Coffee is a popular drink all around the world and a daily ritual for many. Along with that the buying on credit system is widely used across the world today.
