In 1534 he sailed to Newfoundland (Canada).IN 1535 he sailed to St. Lawrence (Quebec).
In 1541 he sailed to North America, he returned to France in the year of 1541.

Jacques Cartier's Impact
He found Canada's St. Lawrence River which is now called Montreal.
He also claimed Canada for France and made a settlement for New France at Quebec.
