There are four different types of camouflage, concealing coloration, disruptive coloration, disguise, and mimicry.

Concealing coloration is when an animal blends in with the background because it's the same color.

Disruptive coloration is when an animal has some type of pattern so that it doesn't stick out in a busy background.

Mimicry is when an animal looks like another dangerous animal in order to keep other animals away.

There are some animals that can actually change color and texture in order to blend in with their surroundings.
