Mercury

  • Mercury is the 1st/closest planet to the sun.
  • It has a diameter of 3,031 miles.
  • The temperature ranges from 800 degrees to -300 degrees fahrenheit. 
  • Mercury has no moons.
  • The surface of mercury is covered with large craters like our moon.

  • Venus is the second planet from the sun and the closest to Earth.

  • The surface of Venus is covered with mountains higher than those on Earth.

  • Earth is the third closest planet to the sun.
  • Its diameter is 7,918 miles.

  • Earth has one moon.
  •  70% of Earth is covered in water 30% is land mass.
