• To encourage peace among countries
• Freedom of speech in government

THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES

• Signed at The Palace of Versailles in France
• The Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919 
• The U.S. wasn't part of the treaty we didn't want to enter European Affairs
• Great Britain, The United States, France, and Italy created it
• They treaty had a total of 440 articles

DETAILS OF THE SIGNING

• Germany signed the peace treaty in the Hall of Mirrors
• It took 45 minutes for Doctor Bell and the Minister to sign for Germany
• Odly, no music or celebrations followed the signing
• The big four was present for the Allies
• It took many negotiations, such as the Peace conference, but Germany agreed

EFFECTS AFTER THE TREATY

• Germany was no longer aloud to use submarines or air forces
• German military academies and colleges were banned
• Germany had to pay 33 billion dollars because they started the war
• War was considered by Germany because they didn't like the treaty

Conclusion
The Treaty of Versailles is what ended WW1 and is partially what caused WW2. But in the end our nations and countries are in peace and still hate war today.
