  • 1817 James Parkinson published essay on "shaking palsy." This made Parkinson's disease a known medical condition.
  • 60 years after that a French neurologist name Jean Martin. He recognized the importance of Parkinson's work and name the disease after James Parkinson.
  • Right now nearly 1 million people in the USA are living with Parkinson's disease
