WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

"This thing was not made for wearing around New York City . Well, anywhere, really...but especially the East Village of New York City on a balmy June afternoon" (Johnson 7).

Ginny's journey started early summer in New York City before taking off to the airport.

FIRST STEP

"She was standing somewhere in Heathrow Airport... Now she was staring at a London tube map" (Johnson 23).

Ginny arrived in London for her first mission and things were already complicated for her.

MOVING ON

"But unlike London, which felt low and compact and overstuffed,Edinburgh felt wide and open" (Johnson 105).

The different cities Ginny goes to feel completely different than her other locations all around Europe. There are different vibes all over and she doesn't know how to fit in.

MOVING TOO FAST

"As they entered Rome, the bus was moving quickly enough to make everything a wondrous streak" (Johnson 129).

Ginny didn't have quite enough time in each place to be able to explore all of her surroundings.

TIME SLIPPING AWAY

"The point of being here in Amsterdam appeared to have just slipped away, aside from a short trip to a museum" (Johnson 201).

Ginny didn't get to accomplish the quest her aunt set out for her in Amsterdam because many things went wrong. Ginny had to stay out on the streets because there was a shortage of hotels and she did not find the person that she needed to talk to. She couldn't understand or figure out what language they were speaking and was getting very frustrated. She reached her breaking point of the journey and she wanted to give up.

LIKE A FISH OUT OF WATER

"She was pretty sure the voice wasn't just welcoming her to Greece and hoping she had a pleasant stay" (Johnson 280).

Visiting other countries was confusing and tough for Ginny to explore around. Ginny felt like she didn't belong in Greece and was very emotional, considering it was the end of her journey, also meaning she wouldn't have any moe moments connecting with her aunt. She doesn't fit in with anyone and feels left out.
