MEKONG RIVER

  • Is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia.
  • It is the world's 12th-longest river and the 7th-longest in Asia.
  • It holds the giant catfish, Pangasianodon.
  • It flows through China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam

LAOS

  • Laos is landlocked between the northeast of Thailand, and west of Vietnam.
  • Laos's Annamite Range and Luang Prabang Range make it very mountainous
  • The plains include are the Plain of Vientiane and the Plain of Jars in the Xiangkhoang Plateau.
  • The Mekong River is the most important in the country.
