Pythagoras didn't attend a normal school or college, but had mentors. His mentors were Thales, Pherekydes, and Anaximander. These mentors inspired him to pursue mathematics and do the best that he could.

-was born in Samos on 570 BC.
-was raised in Samos
-his dad was Mnesarchus and his mom was Pythais
-had 4 children: Damo, Myia, Arignote, Telauges
-his wife was Theano

Contributions
Pythagoras created the Pythagorean theorem, a^2+b^2=c^2. This is used to find the missing length on right triangles. It is still used today.
