HYPOTHESIS

  • Plant watered with a mixture of salt and water
  • would grow less than the other plants.
  • (Sugar, Food coloring, and control)

MATERIALS

  • 8 Pea plants (2 for each mixture)
  • One standard sized bottle food coloring
  • One can of salt
  • One bag of sugar
  • Plastic cups and soil

BACKGROUND

  • Salt is a dehydrant
  • Photosynthesis needs water
  • Photosynthesis creates a sugar

PROCEDURE

  • Water each plant 1/16 cup of water every day
  • With respective addition for 2 weeks
  • 1 Teaspoon salt/sugar, 1 drop food coloring
  • Record growth

CONCLUSION

  • Hypothesis was supported
  • Salt is a dehydrant
