  • They drink soy/ coconut milk,lots of juices, pop, energy drinks, alcoholic beverages,coffee, and juices made out of roots.

  • They eat soups and a lot of of exotic dishes.

MUSIC

  • Mento- is a story telling song, it combines African and Latin rhythm.
  • Ska- is like mento but more lively with, jazz, and the blues.

  • Reggae- a slower more relaxed beat(Bob Marley)

  • At the summer Olympics Jamaica has had very successful at the100,200, and 300 meter dash.

  • 1838- slavery is abolished
  • 1962 Jamaica's independence

  • Is a constitutional monarchy/ democracy/ parliamentary
  • Jamaica has a female prime minister

  • Jamaica gets a lot of wealth from agricultural farming
  • To help the people the government gives them the right to vote, and are planning to sell three years worth of alumina

  • Jamaica's currency is called Jamaican dollar
  • One American dollar is equal to 116.54 Jamaican dollars
