The CCC was one of the first new deal programs. Created in March 1933 from Roosevelt's idea, it was designed to relieve the urban work demand and give young men ages 18-25 jobs. The cutoff was later expanded to 18-28 to include more people.
Impacts Short Term: The CCC gave young men jobs and made it possible for them to support their families. Long term: The CCC is responsible for 50% of the USA's reforestation and hundreds of parks.
