Anthony R. Santos discovered his passion for music when he sang in his church coir at the age of twelve.
Founding Aventura as teenagers, Romeo and band mates quickly charted a pioneering a new course of batchata-fully embracing the traditional Dominican sounds of their heritage, while also incorporating selected elements of R&B and Hip-Hop to create a new style.
The Aventura years provided Romeo Santos with the popularity and style he needed to start his own career. His solo debut album Formula Vol. 1 exceeded all the expectations and became one of the most popular Latin music albums of 2011 and 2012.
With Formula Vol. 1, Romeo Santos became even a bigger artist capturing new audiences with hits such as "You," "Promise" and "Mi Santa." Although Romeo Santos has already reached the top of the top in Latin music, his career is just beginning. We will probably hear lots from Romeo Santos in the following years.
Formula, Vol. 2 is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter and record producer Romeo Santos, released on February 25, 2014 by Sony Music Latin. The album was spawned by the success of its first two singles Propuesta Indecente and Odio which together have spent seventeen non consecutive weeks atop the Hot Latin Songs charts song and have remained in the top 5 of the chart for over thirty weeks. The singles have also been Romeos highest charting songs on the Hot 100 chart peaking at number 79 and 45 each. Two of the highest peaks ever for any bachata songs. Odio is the highest charting bachata song in the history of the genre on the Hot 100.
