iNDIRECT qUESTION
The first type of subjunctive use.
Can be made out of direct questions:
"Were the boys going to the baths today?" can be made into...
"Mother does not know if the boys were going to the baths today."
The indirect question does not end with a question mark.

Question Words
Every indirect question involves a question word.
The question word usually follows the subject of the sentence.
Here are some examples of question words:
Who (quis), what (quid), when (ubi, quando), where (ubi)
