  • The national debt has continued to increase at an average of $1.79 billion every day since September 30, 2012
  • That's over 653 billion per year
  • That's like adding over 2,000 dollars to the public debt for each United States citizen each year

  • Since March 4th, 1789
  • Except for almost a year between 1835 - 1836
  • After the revolutionary war, debt was about
