AN IRISH DESSERT

Donegal Oatmeal Cream is a traditional Irish dessert created In Ireland, and is sort of like a pudding using pinhead oats, also known as "Irish cut oats," heavy whipped cream,and your favorite fruits. It takes two days to make.

RECIPE

  • 15 fluid ounces of milk
  • 1/2 cup of pinhead oatmeal
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 1 Grated lemon rind and juice of 1 fresh orange

  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 8 ounces of heavy cream that is whipped
  • Fruit sauce of your choice
