Where it all started

  • Curse of the mummy intensified after discovery of tutankhamun
  • Although there were many representations of the so-called mummies curse before the discovery

Where it all started

  • many members of the archaeological team had suffered various diseases and deaths
  • Lord karnarvon died suspiciously after entering the tomb;later found out that he died from an infected mosquito bite

The movement

  • This sparked an era that influenced popular culture
  • an increase in movies, books and other forms of media that related to the mummies curse

  • Gave us an era where people thought they could re-live the mummies curse
  • groups of people organised to try and replicate the roles of the gods and pretend to be them

the lie

  • the public were not able to fully understand the culture and religion behind the mummies and the pharaohs
  • Many do not know the truth behind ancient egypt and its rituals and our fogged by the influences of the mummies curse

  • many still believe in a curse that surrounds the ancient egyptyian mummies
  • many have succumbed to being brain-washed into thinking about mummies like brandon frasers version of the mummy

  • The curse and the myths are surrounded by the religion and culture
  • people mistake the weird curses and myths and make stories out of the ancient culture

  • There is no mummies curse although many will still argue about that today
  • it simply is an ancient society being dug up and surprising historians every time something new arises
