BROWN VS BOARD OF EDUCATION
This was acknowledged as the greatest Supreme Court decisions of the 20th century.
It was made so that some schools were not allowed to have racial segregation of children in public schools.
The greensboro sit-ins were a means to desegregate the Woolworth department store chains.
To do this, many people came and sat in stores until closing time.
The student non-violent coordination committee (sncc), was formed to allow young blacks to have a stronger voice in the civil rights movement.
Peace corps is a volunteer program run by the u.s government.
Peace corps aims to; provide technical assistance, help people understand Am. Culture and other cultures too as well.
The freedom riders were civil rights activists who rode interstate buses into segregated southern U.s states.
They left Washington D.C and rode to New Orleans.

More than 200,000 people attended this event in Washington D.C.
The event was to give hope for African Americans who faced political and social problems across the country.
