He was born in 2000 BCE in Ur.
When Abram was in Ur, God and Abram made a covenant. Abram then introduced the belief to humans.
God then renamed Abram as Abraham.
After that, God told Abraham to go to Canaan.
He walked 1100 difficult miles to the land of Canaan with his relatives. Canaan became the "promised land" for the Jews.
