PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The knight Virginius and his daughter Virginia were in the villages market one day.
The judge Appius was out in the market that day and saw the Knights daughter and wanted her for himself. He sent for Virginius to appear before the court.
Virginius went to the court house. Appius appeared and told the court that Virginia was one of his run-away-slaves and was posing as Virginius daughter. He wanted her back. Before he could plead his case he was cast off.
Virginius found his daughter and told her the problem. His daughter spoke and said "I'd rather die a virgin then be fondled by old men." She told her father to kill her and he cut her head off and the next day presented it before the court.
When he presented the head before the court. Everyone was baffled. Appius admitted to his wrong doings and was removed from his position and sent to prison. He later hung himself while in jail.
