- Grew up in ryazan russia
- lived in poverty
- born September 26 18449
- Began education in high school
HIS EXPERIMENTS
- Pavlov believed in classical conditioning
- That reactions were unconscious and could be taught
- He tested this with very hungry dogs and a dinner bell
- When the dogs heard the bell, they started to salivate
- THis idea shows how the brain can change

WHY SO SIGNIFICANT?
- Pavlov's idea later sprean into behaviorism
- Behivorism is the theory that human and animal-
- can be explained in terms of condtioning without-
- appeal to thoughts or feelings.
- Basically Pavlov helped contribut to the study of psychology
