• Muslims believe the Qur'an to be the exact word of God as it was told to Muhammad

• Muslims looked to the Qur'an to guide them in their daily lives

GUIDELINES FOR the Qur'an

• The Qur'an describes how to prepare for worship
• Tells Muslims what they should or should not eat or drink
• It also guides them on their daily life

SOME GUIDELINES OF THE QU'RAN

• Muslims are not permitted to eat pork or drink alcohol
• Muslims must bathe before praying, as to be pure before Allah
• Finally they are encouraged to free slaves
