• The King Olaf I Tryggvason converted him.
• He was sent on a quest to bring Christianity to Greenland by the king

THE FIRST TO AMERICA

When Leif was traveling back to Greenland he had accidentally went off course and landed in an area called Vinland.

LEIF'S LATER LIFE
When Erik died, Leif became chief and his son, Leifsson, became chief in 1025.
