What Happened?
Families were poor and parents couldn't afford food and pay the bills and needed help. So children were required to work to help out with the bills and food.

HOW CHILD LABOR AFFECTED CHILDREN

  • Children were not able to go to school and Get an education
  • Children were not able to enjoy the out doors

When Child Labor Ended
Child Labor ended in 1938 when Congress passed a law named Fair Labor Standard Act. Which says at age 16 people can work during school hours.14 year olds can work only for school jobs and 18 years old for dangerous work

Child Labor has ideals
The first ideal is Opportunity becuz kids have the Opportunity to have a education. The second ideal is Rights becuz kids also have the Right to go to school. And the third ideal is Liberty becuz children have the freedom to go outside and smell the fresh air and have fun and not work.
