What is volunteer management?
- Mainly Selecting and supervising vounteers
- They are most common in the non profit or non governmental world.
but it is the gateway to the community, providing citizens with opportunities to become more involved in local issues and global causes
I enjoy this because I want to be surrounded by people that genuinely care and aren't just in it for a paycheck. The work environment would be much better for me this way.

- I've been involved in sports throughout high school
I have to learn to get things done not only by myself, but with the other girls I'm working with. Like when we're really busy with icecream and have a bunch of orders going out we have to communicate with each other.
Sports have taught me how to manage my time. You have to be able to get your homework done, go to work, and make it to practice and games.

Conflict Management Skills
- Working as a FAM
- Organizing activities has taught me how to deal with tough situations
I've had to learn how to deal with freshmen arguing or not following directions and handle the situation in a calm manner.
Sometimes people don't agree with how an activity is organized so I've had to learn to accommodate the majority of people.

- You have to be organized to put projects together
- I like for things to be planned out
I have put many projects into action (car wash, bake sales, teens for jeans, prom dresses) and I have to be organized to do so
I have always gone by the saying if you want something done right then do it yourself.

I have to be able to get my own side work done but make sure that the less experienced girls are getting things done.
As class President I have to do my own duties such as coming up with fundraisers and organizing things, but I also have to incorporate my class into it and work with them.
