1st Settlers from a different country-
Spain was the first country to settle in Honduras in 1753. Eventually Britain takes over in the early 1800's.

Historical Events-
In the early 2000's more than 1,000 street children were killed by death squads backed by police.
In 1981 Honduras went into war with Nicaragua.

Honduras currently has a constitutional, republic, and democratic government.
Economy-
Honduras is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere, constantly getting economic help.
