PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION (PWA)
The purpose of the PWA is to create jobs, increase purchasing power thorough making highways and public buildings
The Public Works Administration mainly affected the jobless because it provided jobs for them
The Public Works Administration was very successful and some of the things they built are still in use today but it was closed in 1939
The PWA I closed today because they spent over $6 billion on projects and did not succeed in bringing the level of industrial activity back to pre-depression levels
