• It consist of : 8 planets with their satellites
• Dwarf planets
• Small solar system bodies

THE SUN

• The sun consist mainly of two gases:
• Hydrogen
• Helium
• It is at the centre of the Solar System

PLANETS

• They are sperical bo dies which revolve around the Sun
• The inner planets are Mercury , Venus ,Earth and Mart
• They are made up of sock
• The outen planets are Jupiter,Saturn,uranus,Neptune
• They are made up of gases

DWARF PLANETS

• They are sphersial bodies which orbit the sun
• They are smaller than planets

SATELLITES

• They orbit planets
• They consist of rock
• Example :
• Moon

ASTEROIDS

• Are rocky objects irregular in shape
• They orbit around the sun
• Most of them orbit between Mars and Jupiter
• This area is called the asteroid belt

COMETS

• They orbit is elliptic
• Their shape is irregular
• Their nucleous is made up of ice,dust and gas
• When they travel near the Sun,the ice evaporates and a tail is created
