  • Died December 12, 1466.
  • Lived to be 80 years old.
  • Was born in Florence Italy.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Donatello and Michelozzo they produced several architectural-sculptural tombs.
  • Statue of David in marble and bronze represents an allegory of civic virtue triumphet
  • Statue called Gattamelata This work became the prototype for other equestrian monuments created in Italy and Europe in the following centuries
  • Statue called Magdalene Penitent a statue of a gaunt-looking Mary Magdalene.
