The Great Sphinx:The Great Sphinx is a large human-headed lion that was carved from a mound of natural rock. It is located in Giza where it guards the front of Khafra's pyramid.
Location:Giza Governorate, Egypt

When and where they were built:
They were built during the old kingdom in everywhere in egypt. They where mostly built for pharoahs

King tut:
King Tut is chiefly known for his intact tomb, discovered in Egypt's Valley of the Kings in 1922. Since then, his remains have held millions in awe over the mystery of his life and death.

Why was he important?
Though he was not very important, King Tut became the most famous of the Pharaohs 32 centries
after his death, when his mummified body and treasure stuffed tomb were discovered by archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922.

Rosetta stone:
A stone slab found in 1799 near rosetta.Which is written in greek which makes it possible for us to read Egyptian-hieroglyphics. It is now in the british museum.

Queen Hatshepsut:
Queen Hatshepsut was the first female ruler and one of the most successful.

Nefertiti:
Nefertiti was the queen of Egypt and wife of Akhenaten during the 14th century B.C.

The great pyramid:
Who built it is anonymous. We don't know. It was built for khufu. It is 481 feet 5 inches tall,covering an area of 13 acres.

Papyrus:
The inside stalk was cut or peeled into long strips. Then one row was laid horizontal and one vertical. Then it was pounded together.

HIEROGLYPHICS:

  • Invented by egyptians
  • Egyptian form of writting

Old kingdom:
During the old kingdom the worlds first national government was invented.
