JEFFREY DAHMER

EARLY LIFE

• Dahmer was neglected by his parents
• He was known as the "quiet kid" and he had few friends
• His mother survived a suicide attempt
• At a young age he developed interest in dissecting small animals

HIGH SCHOOL

• He was seen as an outcast by others
• Consumed alcohol in school
• Staff recalled him to be polite and intelligent
• Realized he was homosexual

MURDERS

• Committed his first murder at 18
• He picked up an 18 year old hitchhiker and brought him home to drink.
• The man wanted to leave but Dahmer said no
• Dahmer then struck the man in the back of the head twice, knocking him out
• Dahmer then strangled him and later disected his body in the crawl space

LATER LIFE

• Enlisted in the army in 1979
• Accused of repeaditly raping a soldier
• Kicked out of army due to alcohol abuse
• Committed 15 murders from 1978-1992 and he "pleaded guilty but insane."
• Convicted guilty for all 15 murders

IN PRISON...

• A fellow inmate attempted to slash Dahmer's throat in July 1994
• Dahmer received superficial wounds but was not severely injured
• In November 1994, Dahmer was found on the floor of the showers unconscious
• He was struck with a metal bar, leaving him with extreme damage to the head and face
• He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ended up being pronounced dead one hour later
