☐ Propped doors: Propping an apartment, patio, suite, or breezeway door open or jamming a lock compromises everyone’s security from theft and fire. Always close and secure entrance doors behind you.
☐ Fire alarms: Treat every alarm seriously. We conduct only ONE drill per year on October 23, 2014. Residence Halls evacuate to P304 and apartments evacuate to Marshall Field. When informed by a university official that the environment is clear is the only time a resident is allowed to return to residence.
☐ Emergencies: Any time you or someone in your community needs assistance; 858-534-HELP or the RA on duty. There are RAs on Duty every night. If a medical emergency occurs, always call 858-534-HELP immediately and then notify staff as soon as possible. Ask for help. It is better to be safe than sorry.

☐ You’ve signed your housing contract and inventory form which indicates you have read the Policies and Procedures located on the web. READ IT! Ask your RA if you have any questions and carry identification at all times. - Katie

- Safety: for example you are required to evacuate during an emergency alarm

3. Guests (you are responsible for them to follow policies and they cannot move in)
