FUNNEL AND WALL CLOUDS

  • Funnel clouds are funnel shaped clouds of condensed water droplets.
  • Wall clouds developes beneath a cumulonimbus cloud and forms the tornado.

DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF TORNADOS

  • They are named from F0-F5 scale

TORNADO ALLEY LOCATION

  • Northern Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Kansas.

THREE ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS

  • Destroys buildings
  • Trees
  • Kills animals

MOST DESTRUCTIVE TORNADO IN THE UNITED STATES

  • The tri-state tornado
  • Went through Missouri, Illinois, and Nebraska on March 18th 1925.

LOCAL TORNADO

  • May 12th 2000, 3 miles north of the whitney dam.
  • There was 2 deaths and 38 homes were destroyed
  • 27 homes were damaged
