STAMP ACT 1765

Laws passed that gave taxes to any paper product.

QUARTERING ACT 1765

Colonists had to care for any Britain soldier the entered their home.

TOWNSHEND ACTS 1767

Taxes were placed on glass,paper,paint, and tea. This led to a boycott.

Boston Massacre 1770

Riot between colonists & British. 5 Colonists dead, Soldiers tried.

TEA ACT 1773

Price of tea went down, only people chosen by the British government could sell tea.

BOSTON TEA PARTY 1773

Colonists dressed like Indians dropped 90,000 pounds of tea in the ocean.

INTOLERABLE ACTS 1774

Closed Boston Harbor, more soldiers sent to Boston. Colonists terrorized tax collectors.

There were two battles the first in Lexington and the second in Concord.
