Many of the new companies that are moving to DTLA are new and headed by innovative minds. More people want to be in LA because it's closer to most cities. It has an attractive culture.
Most new companies would rather reuse old buildings than build historical buildings. The urban cityscape is appealing to these generations and this sparked a new 'hotspot' in DTLA.
Transformed buildings allow most companies to add more of a creative space for tech and design companies, making it "a fun and funky space, " said Mary Ann de Lares Norris. (pg 3)
