• Hades was the gad of the underworld
• He ruled over the dead

ARES

• Was the god of war
• Not well liked among mortals
• Brash and arrogant

HEPHAESTUS

• The god of fire and metalworking
• A kind and gentle god

HERMES

• Hermes was the god of travelers
• He was also the god of theives
• Mischievous and naughty as a child

DIONYSUS

• God of wine
• Dionysus was also god of madness

APOLLO

• God of the sun
• God of prophecies
• God of music

GODS OF NATURE

• Some gods controlled aspects of nature
• Zeus controlled the sky
• Poseidon controlled the sea
• Apollo controlled the sun
