PRESENTATION OUTLINE

INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF THE WAR OF 1812

BY:EMMETT BAKER

ANDREW JACKSON

Andrew Jackson is influential because he and his army were able to beat the British @ New Orleans, Talladega, Pensacola, and Mobile. During this time Andrew Jackson was a high ranking official and very respected. This then led to him winningthe election of 1828 and becoming the fourth president. I believe this is influential because w/out his bravery and courage America might not be here and that would be very sad and disappointing.

JAMES MADISON

James Madison was an influential figure in the war of 1812 because he was the one who declared war. During times of war and suffering people turn to the president for hope and what to do, I believe as president he did a phenomenal job of keeping the states together in times of need. Many Americans were living I fear of the Native American Confederacy and the British. That's why I think he was so influential in the war of 1812.
