- Concussions are very dangerous and can cause permeant brain damage
- 5.3 million Americans live with traumatic brain injury-related disability
- Many people do not think they are real or an issue
- They may not be visible but they are there
- 3,800,000 concussions were reported in 2012,about double in 2002

HOW WE AS A COMMUNITY CAN SOLVE IT
- Providing the right equiptment for our athletes
- Having concussion seminars
- Educating the youth and youths parents
- Having specialized doctors a phone call away
- Know how to handle them when you get concussed

- Dylan steigers protection of youth athletes act
- Died may 9th,2010 after suffering a traumatic brain injury
- Provides a resource for parents,coaches,and athletes
- Clearly states that schools are required to inform teachers,parents and students
