• Hazel Grace is a 16 year old cancer patient
• Her parents make her go to a cancer support group at the church where she meets Gus.

Augustus waters

• Gus is an 18 year old who formerly had cancer.
• He was in remission for about a year.
• Gus was formerly a star basketball player, but had to quit since he lost one of his legs from the cancer.

isaac

• Isaac is Gus' 17 year ol best friend.
• Isaac had a form of cancer that caused him to lose his eyesight.

Hazel is forced to go to a cancer support group that Isaac also goes too. One day Gus go's with Isaac where him and Hazel meet each other.

Hazel and Gus start spending all their time together and eventually start dating. Gus later gets sick again.
