His style was know as classic. It's very upper class, sophisticated with a bit of flair to add to the simplicity of the classy look.

Kate Middleton even had her wedding dress made after McQueen's design. Giving it more popularity and spotlighting the classy, upscale fashion.

McQueen was gay; and eventually married spouse Forsyth. Sadly, the relationship didn't last.

McQueen became majorly depressed and turned to drugs, but it didn't ease his pain. His mother died on February 2, 2010.
It hurt him deeply. Feeling completely surrounded by sorrow, he decided to end his life nine days later.

McQueen was found dead, February 11th, 2010 by hanging, and drug overdose. His fans,clients and the fashion industry was heartbroken.
