  • It started in England around the early 1800's
  • 1764- Spinning jenny developed by James Hargreaves
  • 1780s- Power loom developed by Edmund Cartwright
  • Early 1800's- coke coal is used to easily produce iron
  • 1850's- steel and iron have begun to be mass produced

  • 1770's- the steam engine is used to power machinery
  • Early 1800's- first steamboat built by Robert Fulton
  • Early 1800's- first railway steam locomotive built by Richard Trevithick
