PRESENTATION OUTLINE
A verb is a word that expresses an action (run, hurl, swim, fly, sing)
A verb can also express a state of being (is, appear, seem, be)
A verb is also sometimes called a predicate
Most verbs are action verbs
There is a smaller group of verbs called linking verbs
A helping verb comes before the main verb and helps the verb give more detail about what the noun is doing
